When to register death | - The law requires all deaths (regardless of citizenship) occurring in Singapore to be registered within 24 hours of occurrence.
Documents Required | - Certificate of Cause of Death (CCOD) issued by doctors or Forensic Death Investigators from the Ministry of Health. Deceased's identification documents (NRIC or Passport) for cancellation. Informant's identification documents (NRIC or Passport)
Registration of Death can only be done at Neighbourhood Police Centres/Posts or Citizen Services Centre, ICA Building | - The informant must produce the CCOD and other supporting documents. The Registration Officer will print the Death Certificate after the documents are verified. The informant must verify the particulars on the Death Certificate and sign the Death Certificate.
